Denice A. Evans, CEO of J’Hue Film Productions, is an independent filmmaker, national speaker and graduate of Emory University, summa cum laude. She wrote and directed an award-winning feature documentary, Spitting Game: The College Hook Up Culture, which spotlights social climate and sexual assault on college campuses. The film had its world premiere at the Boston Film Festival in 2008 and has screened at over a dozen film festivals, including screenings at the American Public Health Association & American Psychological Association Meetings.
Denice continues to produce and direct documentary projects. Most recently she co-directed and produced an award-winning short documentary, entitled Level Up, based on the true life story of a local Atlanta major league video gamer who met a tragic end during a random Craigslist transaction. Level Up went on to win first place in The Audience Awards competition. Denice also produced and directed a branded content docu-promo for Safe Water Now, a non-profit organization that provides ceramic water filters for marginalized communities in East Africa.
J’ Hue Film Productions is currently in pre-production with Mauve Films and Equipment Rentals on several cutting edge social cause documentaries, including a documentary expanding the story of Level Up into a full length expose on Craigslist crimes.
